Originally from northern New Jersey, I moved to Providence in 2015 to attend Johnson & Wales University where I enrolled in culinary and food service management. My father, who emigrated from Italy was a chef and restauranteur for many years and I initially decided to follow in his footsteps on the path to culinary and restaurant ownership/management. In my senior year at JWU I was working part-time for a real estate company that managed my off-campus housing that year. The company was a full brokerage, property management company and construction company. I learned the business and chose real estate over culinary as my profession. It was during this year that I met and worked with Oakmont President, Curran Keough.
Later that year I bought my first property on college graduation day. What a feeling to close on my first house and graduate on the same day. I eventually obtained my real estate license and continued to learn and grow my portfolio. I made the move to Oakmont Realty Group with Curran as my broker. Now Curran and I are partners on some investment properties. I never realized how intertwined my family was with real estate. My mother is an attorney and owns her law firm and with my father with the restaurants they owned, real estate was always part of the family business.
